Terms of Service
Terms
Effective July 13, 2026.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the trend service operated by trend. (“trend,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you’re agreeing on behalf of a company, you represent that you’re authorized to bind that company.
1. The Service
trend is a BI tool. You connect a data warehouse, write SQL queries as datasets, build dashboards, and share them with your team or embed them into your own product. We provide the software, hosting, and infrastructure to make that work.
2. Your account
You’re responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for any activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old. You’ll notify us promptly at security@trend.dev if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Free trial and paid plans
New workspaces get a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. When the trial ends, the workspace becomes read-only for edits until an owner adds a payment method. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually per seat. Add-ons (Embed, AI) are billed separately per their pricing.
Billing. You authorize us to charge your payment method on file for the fees that come due. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as otherwise expressly provided. You can cancel your subscription at any time; access continues through the end of the billing period.
4. Your data
You own your data. Nothing about your use of trend gives us any ownership right in the queries, dashboards, warehouse data, or any content you create using the Service. You grant us the limited license needed to operate the Service for you — for example, running your queries against your warehouse and rendering the results in your browser.
We do not store your query results. See our Privacy Policy and Security page for the specifics.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to violate any law or third-party right;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, another workspace, or the underlying infrastructure;
- reverse engineer or extract the source code of the Service except as expressly permitted by law;
- use the Service to send unsolicited messages or malware;
- submit content you don’t have the right to submit, or that violates another party’s privacy or intellectual-property rights.
6. Third-party warehouses
trend connects to third-party data warehouses that you configure (Postgres, MySQL, Snowflake, BigQuery, and others). Your relationship with those warehouse providers is separate from your relationship with us. You’re responsible for complying with their terms and for configuring credentials appropriately (we strongly recommend read-only credentials — see the security documentation).
7. Termination
You can terminate your account at any time from the billing settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if we’re required to by law, or if operating your account creates a security risk. On termination we’ll delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Warranties and disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express and implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that it will meet every requirement you have.
9. Indemnification
You’ll indemnify and hold us harmless from third-party claims arising out of (a) your violation of these Terms, (b) your violation of any law or third-party right, (c) your data or content, or (d) your use of the Service in combination with anything we didn’t provide.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, and both parties consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email to workspace owners at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
